She came, she saw, she conquered.
One of the few superstars of Indian cinema, Sridevi reigned for almost ten years and from
'80-'82, she appeared in 53 films!

A child actor, Sri began acting at the age
of four and grew up with Solva Sawan which bombed rather badly. It was only after she teamed up with Jeetendra in films like Himmatwala and Tohfa did she hit the
big time. She stunned audiences with her sensitive performance of a young
girl in Sadma.

Sri was praised in Chaalbaaz for her contrasting acts as the subdued and fiery sister while Chandni allowed her to express her romantic side - flowing white churidars, luxurious hair and roses - a trademark look.

Her comic timing juxtaposed with
her innocent face and sensuous body
made an irresistible package that endeared her to the masses.

Sridevi married her then-married director Boney Kapoor, inviting the wrath of the industry but bounced back with a strong Judaai.
